A desert country that rivals even the massive Kortalis in size, the Jorir Wastes are the home of the majority of the Vis, who have a surprisingly large number of cities in the eastern portion of the country. Wracked by decimating storms of lightning and sand, the Wastes must be understood before they can be inhabited, and no one understands how to predict them better than the Vis. Despite their resilience and expertise on the area, even the Vis cannot make settlements in the western portion of the country, where a mountain range, the Lifeless Peaks, separates the desert from the Sea of Terra.
